Title:
CARTRIDGE ERRONEOUS INSERTION PREVENTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3227370
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the erroneous insertion of a cartridge with a timing for actuating first and second detectors so as to effectively eject the cartridge by providing a first detector for detecting the displacement of a first slider and a second detector for detecting the displacement of a second slider.
SOLUTION: When a cartridge 20 is inserted into an insertion passage, a first displacement detector 16 is actuated. Only when the cartridge 20 is inserted into the insertion passage in its normal posture, a second slider 13 is pushed only into the recessed part of a particular height in the specified position of the cartridge 20. Thus, only when the cartridge 20 is inserted into the insertion passage in its normal posture, the entry of the second slider 13 into the recessed part is detected. The erroneous insertion of the cartridge 20 is detected with a timing for actuating the detector 16 and a detector 15 when the cartridge 20 is inserted into the insertion passage in its normal posture. The erroneous insertion is prevented by using a slider 4 as a sending roller and ejecting the cartridge 20 when it is erroneously inserted.
