To provide a film take-up unit which generates a small winding sound and is free of a fault of a reversing preventing function due to pawl deformation.

A ratchet part 25 is provided in the spool 22 of a cartridge 11. A pallet member 30 has an elastic pawl 35 engaging with the ratchet part 25 and is fixed on a cartridge chamber 9. A winding knob 13 is coupled with the spool 22 and a photographic film is wound into the cartridge 11 by operating the winding knob 13. A ratchet sound is generated in the spool 2 when the film is wound and become hard to leak out. If the winding knob 18 is misoperated, the elastic pawl 35 is deterred from abnormally deforming in the spool 22 and then never plastically deforms.
