Title:
CARTRIDGE FILTER AND ITS MANUFACTURE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3660055
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge filter which is excellent in chemical resistance, filtering properties, and profitability by a method wherein a fine fiber of a specific single yarn size is contained in nonwoven fabric consisting of a specific length of a single fiber, and component fibers are bonded to each other with an extra fine fiber having wet heat adhesive properties.
SOLUTION: An extra fine fiber of 1.0 or under denier single yarn size is contained in component fibers of nonwoven fabric 3 consisting of 20mm or under fiber length. At least one kind of the extra fine fiber has a wet heat adhesive property, a filter layer is formed with nonwoven fabric 3 in which component fibers are bonded to each other with the wet heat adhesive extra fine fiber, and a cartridge filter of which filtering precision is improved is obtained without decreasing extremely a filtering flow rate. The extra fine fiber is preferably contained by 70 or over wt.% in the nonwoven fabric in this case. An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer is used as the extra fine fiber having the wet heat adhesive property, and contained by 30wt.% or over to less then 70wt.% in the nonwoven fabric 3.
