Abstract:
To provide a cartridge filter capable of efficiently decomposing and removing a residual chlorine and also an org. matter simultaneously in addition to the removing of an iron rust and muddy component in a raw water.
A pleats type filter medium 7 is installed at an outer periphery of a water collecting core 6. A filter medium 10 is installed circularly around a neck part of the water collecting core 6. A three-layer filter structure is formed with the pleats type filter medium 7 and two kinds filter medium 8 and 10. At least either one of the filter mediums 8 and 10 is made of an activated carbon fiber or a granular activated carbon.
