To prevent a plunger rod and a syringe body from scattering when they are taken out from a package container to a clean bed by assembling the plunger rod securely on the syringe body by a simple structure.
This cartridge syringe houses the cartridge 4 previously containing drug solution, etc., in the syringe body 1. After puncturing a closing plug 5 of the cartridge 4 by the injection needle 2 attached on the tip end part of the syringe body 1 by pushing the cartridge 4, the drug solution in the cartridge 4 can be forced out by the plunger 8. Until starting use, a plunger rod 7 to move a piston plug in the cartridge 4 is separated and housed in a package container. A holding means comprising two holding legs elastically openable are equipped on the syringe body 1 so as to elastically fit and hold the plunger rod between the holding legs.
