Abstract:
PURPOSE: To grasp the solid-liquid boundary surface of a sample in a cartridge real time.
CONSTITUTION: This cartridge for a temperature gradient furnace comprises a container 2 of a hollow structure for internally mounting a sample 1, an ultrasonic probe 3 provided at one end of the container 2, and a cartridge body 9 of a hollow structure for internally mounting the container 2. Accordingly, the position of the solid-liquid boundary surface 12 of the sample 1 in the body 9 can be detected by the probe 3 provided in the body 9.
