To provide a cartridge for a water purifier, which has a function of purifying water and a simple structure, in which various kinds of functional water can be produced by utilizing characteristics of ceramics, metals or metal oxides and production and propagation of unwanted bacteria or fungi are prevented to improve hygiene and the manufacturing cost of which is reduced.

The cartridge 1 for the water purifier is constituted so that one end of a hollow and cylindrical filter medium 2 into which raw water W is made to flow from the outer peripheral surface thereof to a radial direction, is hermetically sealed, and at the other end of the hollow and cylindrical filter medium 2, the outflow port 5a of the purified water W' is arranged. The outer peripheral surface of the hollow and cylindrical filter medium 2 is overlaid with a porous nonwoven fabric 3 with powdery or granular water treating agent stuck thereto.
