Title:
CASE HARDENED STEEL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015224350
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case hardened steel having a component composition scarcely containing Ni and Mo which are expensive elements and having enhanced Cr content, small in anisotropy of cold forgeability, small in depth of a carburization abnormal layer by carburization hardening and excellent in cold forgeability and hardenability.SOLUTION: There is provided a case hardened steel containing, by mass%, Si:0.02 to 1.00%, Mn:0.30 to 1.00%, S:0.002 to 0.015%, Cr:1.50 to 3.00%, Te:0.0003 to 0.0050% and having the content of Si, Mn, Cr and Te with following values fn1, fn2 and fn3 satisfying 30≤fn1≤150, fn2≤0.010 and 0.70≤fn3≤1.10. fn1:Mn/S (1), fn2:Cr×Te (2), fn3:Cr/(Si+2Mn) (3), where symbols of element explain contents of the elements by mass%.
