This case for transporting valuables is provided with a case main body 11 having a keyhole 11a in which valuables are contained, a cover 12 to open/close the case main body 1 which is locked or unlocked by a key 13 inserted into the keyhole 11a in a closed condition, an abnormality alarming part 21 provided on the case main body 11 or the cover 12 to light or sound when the cover 12 is opened without using the key 13, and not to light or sound when the cover 12 is opened using the key 13, and a self-holding circuit 32 provided on the case main body 11 or the cover 12 to memorize that the cover 12 was opened without using the key 13, and hold a lighting or sounding condition of the abnormality alarming part 21. On the self-holding circuit 32, a reset switch to eliminate self-holding of the self-holding circuit 32 is provided on the case main body 11 or the cover 12.
