Abstract:
To register an identification firmware for coin reminting and commemorative coins.SOLUTION: In a cash handling device 10 provided with a coin identification unit 11 and an identification firmware storage unit 12, a read data acquisition unit 13 acquires read data for coins to be registered that have been read by the coin identification unit 11. An identification firmware generation unit 14 receives a plurality of read data acquired by the read data acquisition unit 13 to generate an identification firmware for the coins to be registered. An identification firmware application unit 15 registers the identification firmware generated by the identification firmware generation unit 14 by applying it to the identification firmware storage unit 12. This allows the identification firmware to be generated and registered by the cash handling device 10 itself when new coins are issued, without waiting for the identification firmware to be developed by a vendor of the cash handling device 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
