PURPOSE: To increase a static pressure with respect to the size of the hydraulic machine by a method wherein a diffuser is extended to a place coinciding with the profile of a duct under maintaining a duffusing angle as it is, in order to convert a kinetic energy into a static energy.
CONSTITUTION: The flow path is expanded in the diffuser 12 and the speed of airflow in the diffuser 12 is reduced gradually, therefore, the kinetic energy is converted into the static energy. The rate of reduction of the flow speed is determined by the value of the expanding angle θ of the diffuser 12, however, the expanding angle θ is designed so as to be 25W40° and generation of eddy current is prevented, therefore, the energy loss in this part due to the speed reduction is minimized. Accordingly, the kinetic energy may be converted effectively into the static energy.
