Abstract:
To provide a casing for a drilling rig, and the drilling rig, allowing damage such as bending of a screw section during transportation or storage to be prevented and consumption of liquid needed to raise earth removal from a drilling hole during operation to be reduced.SOLUTION: Drilling rig 2a comprises: a casing 3, of which an area in a longitudinal middle section of a body outer surface 31 is arranged in a cylindrical shape and with a smaller diameter than those of both longitudinal ends of the body outer surface 31, having a spiral blade 321 and a reinforced rib 322 intersecting with the spiral blade 321 as well as extending in a longitudinal direction of the body outer surface 31, being provided with a screw section 32, where positions of end edge part in a radial direction of the spiral blade 321 and the reinforced rib 322 are arranged at a height generally equal to a virtual surface 3V connecting both ends of the body outer surface 31 in the longitudinal direction or lower than the virtual surface 3V; a driving unit 4 stored in the casing 3; and a group of drilling bits 5a comprising of a plurality of drilling bits 6A1... attached on the casing 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
