Abstract:

To prevent damage of an intraocular lens, especially an optical section, and, in particular, avoiding disadvantageous mechanical stress and force operations to the lens in a cassette for the intraocular lens, an injector device, a method for storing the intraocular lens in the cassette, and a method for advancing the intraocular lens out of the cassette.

This cassette (8, 8') for receiving the intraocular lens (11) is formed for inserting into a lens injector device (1) and has an entry region (12) for a plunger (4) of the lens injector device (1) and an exit region (15) for the intraocular lens (11). The cassette (8, 8') has a bending member (34, 34') movably disposed on the cassette (8, 8') and the bending member (34, 34') transfers a haptic part (17, 18) of the intraocular lens (11) loaded in the cassette (8, 8') from a rest-position (RP) into a bending position (BP).
