Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cassette type roller die excellent in the productivity of a material to be worked without spoiling working environment by abutting cooling plates on the side faces of bearing frames of each roller and the side faces of the frameworks.
SOLUTION: A cooling plate 1 which is larger than the framework is abutted on the side faces of the frames 9 of each roller bearings and frameworks 11, 11a of the cassette type roller dies, and a refrigerant pipe 2 is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the cooling plate 1. A refrigerant supply port 3 and refrigerant discharging port 4 to the refrigerant pipe 2 are provided. A pair of grooved roller dies are respectively installed on two bearing frames 9 and the cassette type roller dies which are integrated with the frameworks 11, 11a are formed. Plural sets of the cassette type roller dies are stacked so that the adjacent roller shafts are at right angles each other and it is preferable to hold the cooling plate between the cassette type roller dies. Water is most suitable as the refrigerant. The water temp. is the room temp. and it is effective to use special low-temp. treated water. Cooling oil, cooling gas, liquid air or the like is usable as the refrigerant.
