Abstract:
To provide a cast coated paper, especially produced by coagulation method, slightly degrading in white paper glossiness in post processing such as a winder treatment step and a transfer step after cast mirror finish, excellent in planarity, in addition, ink-drying property, blocking resistance and workability.
This cast coated paper is obtained by coating a coating fluid composed mainly of a pigment and an adhesive on at least one surface of the base paper, pressing the wet coated layer onto the cast drum mirror surface and drying and the adhesive contains 40-60 wt.% styrene monomer and a synthetic high molecular copolymer latex having -15 to 0°C glass-transition temperature, and >70% but ≤90% gel concentration.
