Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a cast for heavy electric equipment which shows excellent adhesion between a metal part and a casting resin having the metal part buried therein even when used for a long period in a high temperature state, and can suppress critical surface peeling, and a method for manufacturing it.
CONSTITUTION: A cast 1 for heavy electric device has a primer layer 3 on the surface of a metal part 2, which is molded with an epoxy resin 4. The primer layer 3 is formed by applying a primer agent obtained by diluting a mixture of 100 parts by weight of an orthocresol novolak modified bisphenol A type epoxy resin, 45-75 parts by weight of a butyral resin, and 3-15 parts by weight of a phenol resin with a mixed solvent of acetone and alcohol to the surface of the metal part 2 prior to the casting work of the metal part 2.
