Abstract:
PURPOSE:In a cast iron can shaft having can shaft where both edges are bevelled, to protect both edges sections from abnormal abrasion by applying refusion surface hardening on the entire width of cam face. CONSTITUTION:Both edge sections 15, 16 of cam face 3 of a cam 2 are bevelled. The remaining cam face 3 is refused by a high density energy source such as TIG are on the entire width. Here TIG torch 18 is reciprocated along the axis 17 while rotating the cam shaft 1 around the axis 17. Here the reciprocating width L of TIG torch 18 is set to D>L>=D-2d; where D is cam width while d is bevel width.
