Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive castable refractory made of magnesia as a main raw material that has a used amount of burned magnesia reduced while keeping required characteristics and has excellent characteristics.SOLUTION: A castable refractory contains a magnesia raw material and Fe-Ni slag and has a proportion of the magnesia raw material excluding fine powder and the Fe-Ni slag in the range of 30 mass parts-95 mass parts of the magnesia raw material and 5 mass parts-70 mass parts of the Fe-Ni slag relative to 100 mass parts of the sum of both.
