Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a caster which can be operated with a small force and reduce the projection of a bottom plate of a stand on which the casters are used.
CONSTITUTION: A caster 20 comprises a ball 2 and a caster main body 1 provided with a spherical seat 1A for holding the ball 2, and a pivot axis is aligned with a ball axis. The caster 20 is formed by a two-material forming method to omit assembly operation. In this case, the mold shrinkage rate of a member which forms the ball 2 is made larger than that of a member which forms the caster main body. A stand for the caster is constituted so that the casters 20 are mounted on the lower surface of the bottom plate at three to four positions.
