To provide a caster which has reduced manufacturing costs and besides, maintains shock absorbing performance for a long period of time.
A caster 1 of a body M to be moved is used both in a standing static state in which the caster stands and a tilted moving state in which the caster 1 is tilted around a horizontal shaft. The caster 1 includes: a bracket 2 which is attached to a lower part of the body M to be moved; a wheel support 3 connected to the bracket 2 via a horizontal first rotary shaft 6 so as to be rocked; a wheel 4 connected to the wheel support 3 via a wheel shaft 7 so as to be freely rotated; and a rubber elastic body 5 which is disposed between the bracket 2 and the wheel support 3 and is shear-deformed with rocking of the wheel support 3. Furthermore, axial centers 6c, 7c of the first rotary shaft 6 and the wheel shaft 7 are positioned on the same perpendicular line in the static state.
