Abstract:

To cast an optical bench (10) provided with integral type optical component supports (14).

Optical component supports (14) are integral with a base (12), so their rigidity is increased. A bench (10) is cast in such a state that additional materials that can be removed by processing afterward in a planned region are added in such a manner that the optimization of the bench, for example, attaching a specific optical component throughout the bench can be performed afterward. Further, the bench (10) is provided with regions (24), (26) and (28) that are the regions requiring great rigidity and changing rigidity by arranging supporting struts closely to each other. The bench (10) may be provided with apertures (30), so that a conduit can be passed through this bench.
