To provide a casting device which fills a molten metal with the pressure in the vicinity of atmospheric pressure into a cavity connected to a vent-hole opened on the surface of a molding die and which can improve the filling speed.
The casting device fills the molten metal with the pressure in the vicinity of the atmospheric pressure into the cavity 32 connected to the vent-hole 36 opened on the surface of the molding die 30. It is provided with a plunger device 20; which has a sleeve 22 whose one end is connected to a molten metal pouring port 34 provided below the cavity 32 of the molding die 30, a plunger 24 inserted freely movably along the sleeve 22 and to inject and fill the molten metal stored in the sleeve 22 from below the cavity 32, and a plunger driving device 26 to move the plunger 24 along the central shaft of the sleeve 22; and a molten metal feeding means to feed the molten metal in the sleeve 22. And, it has the following characteristics. It is provided with a control part 40 to transmit a signal, which is for injecting the molten metal stored in the sleeve 22 into the cavity 32 by moving the plunger 24, to the plunger driving device 20 when a prescribed amount of the molten metal is stored in the sleeve 22.
