Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate closing member for a casting apparatus, the casting apparatus, a mold releasing agent application method and a casting method capable of preventing the mold releasing agent from dropping into the gate.SOLUTION: A gate closing member for a casting apparatus includes a mold which comprises an upper die and a lower die having a gate on the lower side and can form a mold cavity by die-matching the upper die and the lower die, and is used for a casting apparatus main body configured such that molten metal in a retention furnace arranged on the lower side of the mold is charged into the mold cavity via the gate. Therein, a gate cover part which is attachably and detachably configured for the gate and can close the target when being to fitted to the gate is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
