Abstract:
In this casting device, when mold clamping is performed, a cavity (16), an overflow portion (34), and a chill vent portion (30) (gas discharge portion (30)) are formed by molds that are a fixed mold (12) and a movable mold (10). The chill vent portion (30) is connected via an overflow portion (34) to a cavity (16). Further, the overflow portion (34) has molten metal filling portions (38, 40) that extend toward the direction orthogonal to the mating surface of the fixed mold (12) and the movable mold (10).
