PURPOSE: To cast a small size product having high quality with good yield by dropping molten metal from upper part in vertical direction of split molds beforehand opened, closing the molds when molten metal reaches the center of the above molds and solidifying under pressurizing.
CONSTITUTION: Spherical molten metal drips 2 having few gr supplied from a molten metal supplying device 1 constituted by combining a molten metal vessel and electromagnetic pump, are dropped through an electromagnetic induction type through-sensor 3 and supplied into the center of the molds 4, 5 beforehand opened. Then, a control unit 6 with numerical control method starts to count time from the time when the molten metal drip 2 passes the sensor 3 and counts the time required to reach the center of the molds 4, 5 predicted. By this method, closing signal for closing the mold 4, 5 is outputted to an opening/closing device 7 with screw driving to quickly close the molds 4, 5. Then, the molten metal drips 2 filled up into cavities 8, 9 in the molds 4, 5 are solidified while receiving the pressure, and the excess molten metal is caused to flow out of overflow cavities 8, 9 and solidified.
