To provide a casting method, using a T type tundish which facilitates the floating of inclusions, which can surely float inclusions with due consideration to molten steel throughput.
In the casting method for a continuous casting device, a tundish provided at the continuous casting device 1 is formed of a T type tundish 3 provided with a fluxing chamber 10 to be charged with a molten steel 2 from a ladle 9 and a distribution chamber 11 charging the molten steel 2 in the fluxing chamber 10 into a mold 4, and the T type tundish 3 is provided with a partition gate 19 partitioning the fluxing chamber 10 and the distribution chamber 11 so as to optimize the shape of the partition gate 19. Casting is performed while controlling molten steel throughput in accordance with the T type tundish having these shapes.
