Abstract:
To simply cast a cam shaft being a casting having chilled structure only at the cam part.
At the time of casting the cam shaft being the casting by dividing a metallic mold 1 into plural splitted molds 6-11, the mold opening of the splitted molds 7, 9, 11 out of the plural splitted molds 6-11 are executed earlier time than that of the other splitted molds 6, 8, 10. By this method, the chilled structure at the cam parts 18 is formed by the other splitted molds 6, 8, 10 and on the other hand, the chilled structure is not formed at the part 19 other than the cam parts by the splitted molds 7, 9, 11.
