Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent or reduce clogging of a pouring nozzle of molten metal, further to prevent product defect resulting from blowing in gas from a nozzle.
CONSTITUTION: The refractory having a composition consisting of 0-30wt.% one or ≥ two kinds among C, SiC, Al2O3, SiO2, MgO, ZrO2, TiO2, AlN, BN and 70-100wt.% CaO, further having ≤5% apparent porosity is used for one place or more of a sliding gate or immersion nozzle 14, an inert gas of 4Nl per 1 ton of molten steel is blown in from a nozzle part.
