PURPOSE: To quicken a pouring velocity of a molten metal, to make a running of the molten metal good, to easily cast a thin casting enabling the casting of a great number of pieces in a time by top-pouring the molten metal into a great number of cavities, in which pressure is reduced, at the same time after once filling up the pouring basin arranged on the upper part of a mold with the molten metal.
CONSTITUTION: A great number of pieces of the molds 1 are parallelly set and the cavity 3 is formed between the adjacent side faces 2a, 2b and each cavity 3 is communicated with the pouring basin 5 arranged on the upper part 4 of the mold 1, and a bar-like stopper 6 is inserted in freely liftable between each cavity 3 and the pouring basin 5, and the molds 1 are set in a chamber 7. No. 8 shown in the attached figure is a part to reduce the pressure in the chamber 7 by working a vacuum pump. After the pouring basin 5 is filled up with the molten metal, the pressure in the chamber 7 is reduced through the port 8. By this method, the pressure in the cavity 3 is reduced through the mold 1 and succeedingly, each stopper 1 is lifted and the molten metal is sucked and poured into each each cavity 3 at high flow velocity and at the same time each cavity 3 is filled up with the molten metal.
