Abstract:
To provide a mold device for casting capable of performing gas drainage at as far as every corner of the space of the product shape part even if the product to be cast has a complicated shape.SOLUTION: A mold device for low pressure casting is used for the casting of a cylinder head. A product shape part space 11 formed of an upper mold 10 and other mold elements comprises: a first bag-shaped space part 30 for forming a partition wall part of a product; and a second bag-shaped space part 33 for forming a thin wall part different from the partition wall part. An air vent hole 31 is provided so as to face a position corresponding to a top of the first bag-shaped space part 30. A slot-shaped gas drainage groove 29 having a function same as that of the air vent hole 31 is provided at a position corresponding to a top of the second bag-shaped space part 33 and along a longitudinal direction of the thin wall part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
