Abstract:
To provide a detection method of a casting mold and a casting device which can efficiently and reliably detect a sealing property of a shut-off valve for shutting-off a suction path of the casting mold.SOLUTION: A detection method of a casting mold, that is the detection method for detecting a casting mold (12) provided with a cavity part (16), a gas channel (24), and a cut-off valve (22) capable of cutting-off the gas channel includes a process (steps S11 to S13) of stopping an air-supply after supplying air of a prescribed pressure into the gas channel while closing the cut-off valve, a process (step 14) of acquiring a cold-time reduction speed (V1a) of pressure of air within the gas channel after stopping the air-supply, and a process (step S15) of determining the quality of cold-time sealing property of the cut-off valve based on the cold-time reduction speed of the pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
