To suppress cracks caused in continuously cast bar when manufacturing the continuously cast bar by using a rotary strip casting machine.
A nearly parallelopiped casting runner 500 having a settling part 550, a rectifying part 560, and a runner 510 in the longitudinal direction of an upper surface is manufactured and installed on a casting wheel 21. Molten metal from a nozzle runner 4 is received by the settling part 550, and rectified by the rectifying part 560. The rectified molten metal passes through the runner 510 in a downward curve in a rectified flow as the molten metal approaches a taphole 540 from the rectifying part 560, and poured into a casting groove 200 from a runner bottom part 530 located below a casting groove top part 210 at the taphole 540 while gradually subjected to the downward force. The poured molten metal is cast while being held between a casting groove bottom part 230 and a steel strip 25.
