Abstract:
To provide a casting shot blast method capable of suppressing excessive enlargement of casting internal stress and improving dimensional accuracy of a cast product.SOLUTION: This shot blast method comprises a shot blast step of removing casting sand stuck to the surfacer of a casting component 21 by projecting shot balls 25 to the casting component 21 molded by a sand mold having the casting sand by a projector 11. In the shot blast step, the steel shot balls 25 each having a maximum diameter of 0.1 mm-0.6 mm and a maximum mass of 6.4×10-5 g to 1.4×10-3 g are used, a projection speed is of 50 m/s-70 m/s, a projection density is 150 g/cm2-250 g/cm2, and a projection angle is set within the range of 35°-55°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
