PURPOSE: To obtain the subject composition having superior molding properties and particularly high temperature calcining strength by using calcium aluminate, a non-crystalline silica and a dispersing agent as the main components.
CONSTITUTION: A dispersing agent such as calcium aluminate, non-crystalline silica like volatile silica, evaporative silica or the like, and a dispersing agent such as oxycarboxylic acid, phosphoric acid or the like are used as main components for a catalyst carrier composition for removing fine particles, NOx, SOx and the like exhausted from a diesel engine, a heater of the like. A heat- resistant aggregate such as alumina, molten silica of the like is also contained therein. The catalyst carrier composition thus provided has superior molding properties, and particularly of superior high temperature calcining strength without any cracks generated by calcining, and improves the production yield.
