Abstract:
To provide a catalyst for conjugated diene polymerization that allows production of a conjugated diene polymer with a high content of the cis-1,4 structure, and a production method of the conjugated diene polymer.SOLUTION: A catalyst for conjugated diene polymerization comprises: a praseodymium compound (A) with a bulky ligand represented by the general formula (1) (Rto Rare each H or a C1-12 substituent; O is an oxygen atom; and Pr is a praseodymium atom); an ionic compound (B) comprising non-coordinating anions and cations; an organometallic compound (C) of an element selected from groups 2, 12 and 13 of the periodic table. The organometallic compound (C) is an organoaluminum compound, and the ionic compound (B) is a boron-containing compound.SELECTED DRAWING: None
