Title:
CATALYST CONTAINING CATALYTIC METAL AND NONACIDIC ACCELERATOR DISPERSED ON SUBSTRATE AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3112821
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a catalyst having a very high rate of conversion and very superior selectivity as a catalyst for conversion of various hydrocarbons by mixing a 1st soln. contg. a chelating agent and a metallic salt as an accelerator with a 2nd soln. contg. a compd. of a group VIII metal, aging the resultant mixed soln. under specified conditions, impregnating it into a solid carrier and carrying out firing and reduction under specified conditions.
SOLUTION: A 1st aq. soln. contg. a chelating agent and a metallic salt as an accelerator is heated to a temp. in the range from 80°C to the b.p. and it is mixed with a 2nd aq. soln. contg. a compd. of a group VIII metal to prepare a mixed soln. This soln. is aged at 40-100°C for 5min to 4hr and impregnated into a solid acid refractory substrate to obtain an impregnated solid substrate contg. the 1st and 2nd solns. by about 0.1-1wt.% and about 0.5-3wt.% (expressed in terms of metals), respectively. This solid substrate is fired at 300-850°C for 10min to 8hr and the fired substrate is reduced at 300-850°C for 30min to 8hr to produce the objective catalyst.
