Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce a catalyst capable of efficiently decomposing a volatile org. halogen compd. in the presence of air and water and capable of maintaining its activity over a long period of time.
CONSTITUTION: At least one kind of metal selected from among Pt, Pd and Ru as a catalytic component is carried on titania as a carrier by 0.5-5wt.% and phosphorus is incorporated into the resultant in catalyst by 1-5wt.% (expressed in terms of oxide) to produce the objective catalyst for decomposition of a volatile org. halogen compd.
