Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve determination accuracy when executing determination of catalyst deterioration during an engine operation by using gas fuel.SOLUTION: An engine control system includes: a first injection valve 21 for injecting gas fuel; a catalyst 19 for performing purification of exhaust gas of an engine 10; and oxygen concentration sensors 18a and 18b provided in an exhaust gas passage and outputting a detection signal according to the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas. A control unit 80 executes deterioration determination of whether or not the catalyst 19 is deteriorated based on the output of the oxygen concentration sensors 18a and 18b. Also, the control unit 80, during a period executing combustion of the engine 10 by the injection of gas fuel by the first injection valve 21, executes deterioration determination of the catalyst 19 by masking the output corresponding to a predetermined air-fuel ratio rich region out of the output of the oxygen concentration sensors 18a and 18b.
