Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst device which can sufficiently reduce NOand oxide ammonia and in which amount of use of an oxidation catalyst is reduced.SOLUTION: The catalyst device comprises: a structure which is mainly composed of a first catalyst containing at least one of vanadium oxide and tungsten oxide and has a plurality of through-holes extending in one direction to form a gas flow passage; and a plurality of particles of a size of 20 nm or less mainly composed of a second catalyst containing a noble metal, the particles being arranged along an inner wall of the structure partitioning the through-holes in at least part of a range in the longitudinal direction of the structure. The amount of the particles has a particle amount gradient continuously increasing in the longitudinal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
