Abstract:

To provide a catalyst which is used in a conversion process of heavy duty supply raw material and more particularly paraffin supply raw material containing metal reduced in weight.

This catalyst contains at least one kind of noble metal deposited on an acidic carrier. The dispersion degree of the noble metal is below 20%. The ratio of the noble metal particles having a grain size below 2 nm preferably occupies 2 wt.% at the most of the noble metal carried on the catalyst. At least 10% of the noble metal particles is preferably over 4 nm in grain size. The carrier is preferably shapeless.
