PURPOSE: To obtain a catalyst for hardening of the surface layer of an electrophotographic sensitive body used to form a surface layer having excellent. wear resistance without adversely affecting the photosensitive characteristics of the electrophotographic sensitive body.
CONSTITUTION: An -caprolactam deriv. represented by the formula (where R is H, hydroxyethyl, hydroxypropyl or cyanoethyl) is used as an effective component.
