Abstract:
To provide a catalyst capable of causing a reaction at a low hydrogen pressure when an aromatic epoxy compound is nuclear-hydrogenated, having an excellent selectivity and capable of being prepared by using a noble metal material comparatively easy to obtain, and a method of making a nuclear-hydrogenated epoxy compound.
Activated carbon pretreated by using a base is used as a carrier of the catalyst, common compounds can be used as the base for pretreating the activated carbon and as a noble metal compound.
