Abstract:
To provide a catalyst for olefin polymerization effectively incorporating a cycloolefin, a conjugated polyene or an aromatic vinyl compound, and exhibiting a high polymerization activity, and to provide a method for production of olefin copolymer by using the same.
The method comprises a (co)polymerization of at least one kind of monomers (C) selected from an α-olefin, the cycloolefin, the conjugated polyene and the aromatic vinyl compound, in the presence of the catalyst for olefin polymerization comprising (A) a specific transition metal compound and (B-1) an organometallic compound, (B-2) an organic aluminumoxy compound and (B-3) a compound forming an ion pair by reacting with the transition metal compound (A).
