Title:
CATALYST FOR OZONE DECOMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0429745
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an ozone decomposition catalyst with which ozone is re moved efficiently by containing at least one of nickel sesquioxide and cobalt sesquioxide, and adding at least one of a plurality of specified metals and metal oxides, if necessary.

CONSTITUTION: Ozone decomposition catalysts are characterized by containing at least one of nickel sesquioxide (Ni2O3) and cobalt sesquioxide (Co2O3) and, if necessary, at least one of various metals such as Ti, Cu, Mn, Fe, Ag, Au, Mo, Zr, Sn, Nb, and W, and metal oxides may be added. As examples of those catalyst, there are ones containing mainly one-component catalyst such as Ni2O3 and CoO4, ones containing mainly two-component catalyst such as Ni2O3-Co3O4, and ones containing mainly three-component catalyst such as MnO2-Ni2O3-Ag2O. The preferable content of at least one of Ni2O3 and Co2O3 in these main components is 10-100%. Ozone is efficiently removed using these catalysts.
