Abstract:
To provide an α-olefin polymerization catalyst capable of producing an α-olefin polymer having highly controlled stereoregularity and high melt tension and provide an α-olefin polymerization process using the catalyst.
The objective catalyst for the polymerization of an α-olefin is produced by combining (A) a solid catalyst component obtained by bringing (A1) a polymerization solid component containing titanium, magnesium, halogen and an electron donor selected from organic acid ester, acid halide and ether into contact with (A2) a compound containing S=O bond with (B) an organic aluminum compound and (C) a silicon compound.
