Title:
CATALYST FOR POLYMERIZATION OF OLEFIN, ITS PREPARATION AND USE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3944247
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the captioned catalyst with easy handling and superior operability, by which a resulting polymer does not stick to and cover the wall and stirrer of a polymerization reactor by allowing a reaction product of an aluminoxane and metallocene to react with a microporous polymeric support.
CONSTITUTION: Reaction product of an aluminoxane shown by Formula I and II (R is 1-6C alkyl, 6-18C aryl, benzyl or H; p is 2 to 50) and one or more of metallocenes such as zirconocene is allowed to react with a microporous polymeric support such as PE, PP, PS (preferably, the void volume is equal to or more than 50 vol.% based on the total volume of the support material) to obtain the intended catalyst. The mole ratio of the aluminum to transition metal in the metallocene is preferably within the range of 100/1 to 2000/1.
