Abstract:
To prepare an olefin polymer having an excellent particle shape with a high polymerization activity using an inexpensive catalyst.
A catalyst for preparing an olefin polymer comprises a transition metal compound (a) and an inorganic-organic composite (b) containing an element chosen form group 2, group 4 or group 13 of the periodic table, silica and oxygen, wherein a hydrocarbon group is covalently bonded with either the element chosen form group 2, group 4 or group 13 of the periodic table or silica.
