Abstract:
To provide a catalyst for propylene polymerization which can give a polymer having excellent polymer properties with high activity at a low cost, and to provide a method for producing a propylene polymer.
The catalyst for polyolefin containing propylene polymerization is obtained by adding an olefin to a product obtained by bringing the following components (A) and (B) into contact with each other and performing the prepolymerization. Component (A): a metallocen compound of groups 4-6 of the Periodic Table, Component (B): a layer ion exchangeable silicate treated by an organic metallic compound.
