Abstract:
To provide a catalyst protective device capable of properly protecting a catalyst while suppressing the traveling limit of a vehicle.
This device comprises a sensor 12 for detecting the residual quantity of the fuel supplied to an engine 2 and a throttle opening sensor 11 for detecting the throttle opening. When the residual quantity of the fuel is smaller than a fixed quantity, and the throttle opening is larger than a fixed value, the vehicle traveling is limited to protect the catalyst 3.
