Title:
CATALYST FOR REMOVING NITROGEN OXIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03270732
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance denitration activity and NOx removal capacity by forming a catalyst by making zeolite carry specific binary oxide, specific ternary oxide, oxide of W or Sn and one or more kind of Ce, Pr and Nd.

CONSTITUTION: Zeolite is added to a cerium nitrate-containing aqueous solution to be mixed and kneaded therewith and the resulting mixture is dried at about 80-140°C. Next, a solution prepared by dissolving ammonium para-tungstate in a monoethanolamine-containing aqueous solution and a molding aid are added to cerium carrying zeolite and a powder of TiO2.SiO2 to be mixed and kneaded therewith and the resulting mixture is molded into a honeycomb shape by an extrusion molding machine. The molded one is dried at about 50-120°C and subsequently baked at about 400-700°C for about 1-10hr in an air stream to obtain a nitrogen oxide removing catalyst. This catalyst efficiently reduces NOx to nitrogen and water at high temp. of about 400°C or higher and has excellent durability.
